Connexions

En divisant mon canevas selon différents ratios, j’expose ainsi la dualité entre deux mondes. La partie supérieure très colorée rappelle la nature et procure un effet d'accalmie. La partie inférieure vient contraster avec l’horizon par l’émergence de points qui créent une abondance d’informations visuelles en premier plan pour ensuite laisser transparaître les «connexions humaines » en second plan. Les connexions sont planifiées à l’avance pour créer un motif abstrait et harmonieux. L’abstraction des motifs d’un tableau s’ouvre sur une amplitude tridimensionnelle qui stimulera une perception différente selon l’angle d’observation et de la lumière projetée sur celui-ci. La personne regardant l'œuvre peut se sentir submergée par cette surabondance de points, seule ou connectée, rappelant la complexité du monde dans lequel nous vivons.

/ Dividing my canvas in different ratios, I thereby expose the duality between two worlds. The superior part is colorful, recalls nature and provides calm. The inferior part contrasts with the horizon first with the dots that create an overwhelming amount of visual information and second you can see the human connections between them. The connections are planned in advance to create an harmonious abstract drawing.  Being three dimensional, these drawings will bring a different perspective depending the angle of observation and the light. The viewer of the artwork can feel sunken by the overabundance of dots, alone or connected, reminded of the world’s complexity.
