Newton Spectrum
Avec ma collection Newton, je crée des jeux de lumières avec les bandes de couleurs qui se juxtaposent mais je voulais atteindre un autre stade de luminosité. Je n’ai pas réinventé la roue en créant des «lightbox» mais après quelques essais et prototypages, je pense avoir créé des sculptures lumineuses qui pourront redéfinir l’espace où elles seront exposées. Le nom «Spectrum» vient naturellement des bandes de couleurs qui sont influencées par la lumière qui les traverse et qui donnent toute une gamme d’ondes lumineuses. Avec ces œuvres, je pousse d’un cran la manière dont l'œuvre affecte son environnement et son sujet.
/ With my Newton collection, I create lights effects by juxtaposing bands of colors but I wanted to reach another stage of luminosity. I did not reinvent the wheel by creating “lightboxes” but after some testing and prototyping, I think I have created light sculptures that will be able to redefine the space where they will be exhibited. The name “Spectrum” naturally comes from the bands of colors which are influenced by the light passing through them and which result in a whole range of light waves. With these works, I take the way the work affects its environment and subject matter up a notch.
