Biography

Born in 1973, I lived my childhood in Pincourt, a small town in the West Island of Montreal, Québec, Canada. I am presently established in Montreal and work in a shared creative space. I studied Graphic Arts and Design at CEGEP du Vieux-Montréal and Infographics at CEGEP Maisonneuve.

At the end of my studies, I was offered a job as a graphic designer in a new field at the time, the digital arts. The world of the new media is in full turmoil and it's only the beginning. I always seeks to stand out and create original and impactful projects. My vision and versatility have allowed me to climb the ladder quickly and provide artistic direction in various digital agencies.

Then were the years of the web revolution of communications and it changed my professional ambitions. I devoted all my time to web art direction. This experience allowed me to supervise multidisciplinary teams and I realize many major projects, some of which received national and international honors. In 2019, I initiated a change of career and decided to go back to non-digital visual arts.

Artistic Approach

My work revolves around the different connections between humans and nature. The direction in which I choose to travel through space is constantly changing. The path of life is strewn with intersections and junctions, and it can become a veritable maze to explore. Taming the road to the unknown, discovering new horizons, creating links and being inspired by the surrounding nature is at the heart of my creations. The landscapes and connections that run through our time on earth influence humans’ emotionality and interactions.

I find inspiration walking the streets of a city and observing architecture or going for a hike in the mountains. Sunsets dazzle me with their vibrant color gradations and give me a sense of calm no matter where I am. On the other hand, the clean lines of the urban infrastructure influence me and stimulate my artistic and cartesian spirit.

I seek to obtain a balance in the composition and the harmony between the different paths or links. This balance is obtained by the division of spaces and color. The lines in three dimensions give depth to the work and symbolize that everything is in motion, in evolution over time. In addition, perspective and light add amplitude depending on the angle from which you view my works. I want to give the observer the feeling of immersing themself in a painting so that they can project themself on their own journey.
